9:00pm - Dance starts at the school
11:45pm - End of dance and take down small decorations
12:00-3:00am - Post Prom

GOLF: Good Luck to the Varsity Golf Team as they travel to the Cottonwood Golf Course in Casselton tomorrow, 4/28 for a 10:00am meet. Also Good Luck to the JV Golf Team as they travel to the Cottonwood Golf Course in Casselton Friday, 4/29 for a 10am meet.
TRACK: Good Luck to the Varsity Track Team as they travel to Mayville tomorrow, 4/28 (the meet has been changed from Saturday 4/30). The meet will begin at 3:00pm and the bus will depart GCC at 1:00pm. Also Good Luck to the JH Track Team as they travel to Harvey/Wells County in Fessenden tomorrow, 4/28. Field events begin at 2pm and Running events begin at 3:30pm. The bus will depart at noon from GCC.

The TMG foundation is hosting a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament for boys and girls grades 3-6 on Saturday, May 7th at MSU in Mayville.

Students in grades 7-11 received their preregistration forms on Monday, April 18.
A parent or guardian needs to sign the form. Forms are due Friday, April 22.

The FBLA students are hosting a Father-Daughter Dance on Sunday, May 1st at Griggs County Central. This event is for preschool through sixth graders and their father figures. The cost is $15 per family, all proceeds will go to help FBLA students attend Nationals.
Due to deteriorating travel conditions this afternoon, school and buses will dismiss at 2:30pm today, April 14th. The car pick-up line will begin at 2:25pm. There will be no after-school activities. Make-up hours will be announced at a later date. Have a great long weekend and see you all on Monday, April 18th.
Due to the missed day of school on Wednesday, April 13, Griggs County Central will plan for a full school day on Thursday, April 14 (weather permitting) and a full day of school on Friday, May 20. These days were previously scheduled as early out days.
There will be no school tomorrow, Wednesday, April 13th.
Griggs County Central school and buses will be two hours late tomorrow, Wednesday, April 13th. There will be no breakfast and no GST preschool.
Due to the weather picking up, dismissal today (Tuesday) will be at 1pm. Buses will leave at 1pm and car line will start loading at 12:55pm. Parents/guardians can come pick up students or give driving students permission to leave earlier if they would like. There will be no after-school activities or practices today. Due to this change, the Thursday (April 14) early out will be changed to a full school day for students and staff.
The track Meet in Groton, SD scheduled for today or the Golf Meet in Leonard scheduled for tomorrow have been cancelled. There is also no golf practice today.
The Kem Shrine Circus is coming to the Ralph Ingelstad Arena in Grand Forks April 22-24. Complimentary tickets courtesy of area merchants will be distributed in school and at the door to all children through the 8th grade!!
One ticket per student is being sent home with your GCC student today. You may call the school to request additional child tickets, first come first service. Be sure to thank the business on the back of your tickets for their generosity.
GCC had 5 students enter the NCAC Student Art Show this week.
Congratulations to Skylar Kuehn who received ‘Best in Show runner up’ and took First Place for her charcoal drawing. Second place in charcoal drawing went to Olivia Larson. Olivia Larson also took 1st place in the pen & ink drawing category. Skylar Kuehn took 1st place and Olivia Larson took 2nd place in the pencil drawing category. Skylar Kuehn took 2nd place with her Mixed Media entry. Caleb Moser received an Honorable Mention for his pencil drawing. Luka & Ziggy Berg entered tempera paintings that they had made at Art Camp they attended this past summer.
There were a total of 5 schools with 186 entries in the Student Art Show. David Paukert from Michigan, ND was the judge. There is a public viewing today from 3-7 and 1-5 on Saturday in Pekin.
