safeTALK Training - Grand Forks, ND

October 18, 2021, 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM  

safeTALK is a 3-hour suicide awareness training that focuses on preparing those over the age of 15 to become suicide alert helpers. Indicators of suicide are discussed, and appropriate courses of action are explored during training sessions, as well as identification of resources to help when others are in crisis. CEUs are available. This training comes at no cost to participants thanks to support from North Dakota’s Suicide Prevention Program administered through the Department of Human Services, Behavioral Health Division. Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) - Fargo, ND

October 20 & 21, 2021, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM  

This workshop is a two-day event for community members looking to be trained in the ASIST suicide prevention model. During this workshop, participants will learn of common myths surrounding suicide, how to identify those who may be having suicidal thoughts or ideation, and how to reduce barriers that prevent interactions from occurring with those identified in crisis.
